A sandstorm has the size of a nation swept through the Arab Peninsula, causing a series of traffic accidents and makes a few hundred aircraft can not take off.
The photo agency Aerospace America (NASA) announced shows sandstorm covering Saudi Arabia and the united Arab emirates in the fourth day, causing breathing difficulties for people. Discovery magazine, that day it covers an area roughly the area of the United States.
2/4 and 3/4 of the day, the storm became stronger and moving eastward and move to Dubai. Visibility at Dubai International Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world, only about 160 m in a few hours. Airlines Saudi Arabian Airlines canceled more than 450 flights from 1/4 to 3/4. Other companies delayed 678 flights.
On 4/4, the sand begins to move through the Arab sea to get to Pakistan and India. Frequent sandstorms in the Arabian Peninsula, but they rarely reach large size and cause serious consequences such as this.
